  • CONCEPT ART: SIREN

We want to create highly stylized, provocative cinema in which light and color play an important role in the audience's perceptions of characters while creating the mood for the scene. We want to successfully give the film vibrant color without being too overbearing, and yet still manage to keep a cold and minimalist feel. Our framing and composition will be inspired by modern glamour photography, in which the emphasis is on the subject. Our goal is to create an outstanding product as well as to produce the most physically appealing image of the sirens as possible. There are many themes that will be evident throughout the film such as water, music, sin, and color. Every scene will have these elements to show the connection between Siren and the various aspects of Greek mythology.

    CONCEPT ART: HINDER

The art direction in Hinder will rely heavily on color, texture, and pattern. The color palette is desaturated and contains neutral, earth tones. The colors chosen for the sets and props reflect which characters interact with them, allowing you to subconsciously know who belongs there. The characters all have three colors assigned to them, including one "pop" color which will be used to accentuate them during an important event either through a piece of wardrobe or a prop. The characters will become one with their surroundings and will be separated by lighting rather than color. Also, their personal colors will change hue and saturation throughout the film depending on mood and character development. I would like Hinder to have a vintage or retro feel while still being considered contemporary.

    CONCEPT ART: BLOOD LANE

A horror/comedy/mockumentary that not only pokes fun of the 80s film genre, but at the cast and crew as well.
